RTE SMS has interfaces that can be used to connect the
company information system (Windows, AS400, UNIX, etc.)
to RTE SMS. For example, the file interface allows programmes
to store files to be sent by the SMS server. An SMS
is described by a command file in ASCII format. This
file is stored in the Out directory of the File Connector.
It contains information about the SMS and the SMS recipient(s).
It can also be used to configure transmission, either
for all recipients or recipient by recipient. On receipt,
the SMS are converted into ASCII files that contain
all the information relating to the SMS and are placed
in the File Connector’s In directory.
There are also other interfaces (SQL, NT Alerts, SAP,
Goldmine, Sage, HP OpenView, XML, SNMP, etc.).
