PDF - Portable Document Format - is the de facto worldwide standard for the computerised distribution of documents. It allows you to preserve the fonts, layout, colours and graphics of the original documents, whatever the document type and regardless of the operating systems and applications used to create them.

PDF files occupy little space. They can be shared, displayed, read or printed with their original appearance. All types of documents, including reports initially intended for a printer and scanned paper documents, can be converted into PDF files.
